Haramain High Speed Railway: Station Transfer Guide

The last stretch between the station and your hotel in Makkah or Madinah, and how to arrange it before you arrive.

5 min read

The Haramain high-speed railway has dramatically shortened the distance between Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah. But the journey does not end at the station — the last stretch to the hotel remains, and it is the part most travellers overlook when planning.

Makkah station The station sits outside the central area around the Holy Mosque, roughly twenty minutes by car from most hotels. With luggage after a train journey, arranging a car in advance saves you searching and waiting at the exit.

Our fares for this route start at 100 SAR in a Camry and go up to 250 SAR in a GMC Yukon.

Madinah station The same applies: the station is about fifteen minutes from the central area around the Prophet's Mosque. The service runs both ways — station to hotel, or hotel to station before your departure.

Fares also start at 100 SAR.

What if the train is late We track train times, and if yours is delayed the driver waits at no extra charge. That removes the single biggest worry travellers have about this particular leg.

A tip for families If you are a group with luggage, book a van rather than a sedan even when the seat count would fit. The distance is short, but loading bags twice — once for the train and once for the car — gets tiring fast.

How to arrange it Send us your train number, arrival time and station, and we will be waiting at the exit. No deposit is needed, and we confirm availability and the fare before the day of travel.
